No. The Manzanita Oceanfront Inn will remain a lodging-only property, staying true to the character of this beloved oceanfront location.
During renovations, we ran into some unexpected obstacles that meant the original pool could not be included in our new plans. While this wasn’t an easy decision, it gave us the opportunity to thoughtfully reimagine the space.
Guests will begin to notice a refreshed outdoor layout featuring two new fire pits, yard games, and comfortable seating areas designed for relaxing and gathering. We’re also excited to share that a hot tub is planned for installation in late fall 2026.
Not every room at the Inn is equipped with AC. Many of our rooms rely on the coastal breeze and ocean air to keep things comfortable during the warm season, while select rooms do offer air conditioning. If having AC is important to you for your stay, please reach out to us directly at 503-368-5224, or info@manzanitaoceanfrontinn.com and we’ll be happy to check availability and discuss your options.
While we don’t offer breakfast on-site, we’re happy to point you toward some of our favorite local spots nearby to start your day right. We also offer a select number of rooms with full kitchens—perfect if you prefer to prepare your own meals during your stay.
To ensure a restful stay for all guests, we observe quiet hours from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am, in line with local city guidelines. Thank you for helping maintain a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for everyone.

Guest Room Safety
Every guest room entry door is equipped with a “view hole” or upper window, as well as a “Do Not Disturb” sign. Use the “view hole” and/or window to identify visitors. If you are unsure of the person at your door, don’t open it; reach out to the Front Desk to verify. During your stay, use the “Do Not Disturb” sign when you don’t want anyone entering your room.
Emergency Information
In case of an emergency, dial 911. For any immediate needs or concerns, our front desk team is always available to assist. Our street address is 248 Ocean Road.
Valuables
While Manzanita is a welcoming and peaceful community, we encourage guests to keep valuables secured and avoid leaving personal items unattended.
Quiet Hours
To ensure a restful stay for all guests, quiet hours are observed from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am in accordance with local guidelines.
Earthquake Evacuation
In the unlikely event of an earthquake, take immediate cover in a doorway or under a table until the quake has subsided. Immediately after, follow the Tsunami Evacuation plan shared here: https://pubs.oregon.gov/dogami/tsubrochures/Manz-Neh-Wheeler-EvacBrochure_onscreen.pdf
Fire Safety & Emergency Procedures
For your safety, please take a moment to review the emergency evacuation map located on the back of your guest room door. Each room is equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. If your room’s detector sounds, evacuate the room immediately and contact the Front Desk. If you see a fire or smell smoke, notify the Front Desk right away and provide the location, if possible. In the unlikely event of a fire alarm, please follow posted instructions and proceed calmly to the nearest exit.
Tsunami (Tidal Wave) Evacuation
A local tsunami can come onshore within 15 to 20 minutes after an earthquake — before there is time for an official warning from the national warning system. In the event of an earthquake, evacuate immediately to higher ground once the shaking has stopped.
A distant tsunami could take four hours or more to come ashore. You will not feel an earthquake, and typically there is time for an official warning and evacuation to safety. An announcement over NOAA weather radio will generally indicate evacuation for a distant tsunami; if you do not hear an announcement, a sudden change of sea level should prompt you to move immediately to high ground. DON’T PANIC. Stay away from all bridges, and don’t pack things – leave them. Your safety is more important. DON’T DRIVE– unless you cannot walk. It is faster to go on foot because cars cause traffic jams. Never go to the beach to watch for a Tsunami. Tsunamis are very rare on the Oregon coast, but just in case, familiarize yourself with the following map for evacuation routes: https://pubs.oregon.gov/dogami/tsubrochures/Manz-Neh-Wheeler-EvacBrochure_onscreen.pdf
