Cannon Beach Sandcastle Contest

See remarkable sand sculptures take shape during the Cannon Beach Sandcastle Contest, Oregon’s oldest sandcastle competition. Founded in 1964, this beloved coastal tradition brings builders, visitors and the community together for a weekend of creative events and festivities.
The main contest takes place Saturday on the beach near Madison Street, west of Ocean Avenue. Visit during the day to see the completed creations before the evening tide washes them away. The event takes place rain or shine.
